Absolutely! You will need a fire-wire interface to download video from a camcorder. Then you can use software such as from ULead to make DVDs. I found that it takes about 13GB hard disk space to download 1 hour of mini dv content at highest quality setting. Then you get 1 hour of video at highest quality setting per one sided DVD disc. It takes same amount of time to download as to play the content. Then the part where you do video editing, create menus for the DVD etc., take as much time as you want. Then the media conversion takes place which can be as long as 3 hours. Actual burning of the DVD takes 10 minutes or so on a 16x DVD burner with 16x speed DVD discs.
