when will Sony release its promised 24 megapixel dslr for widespread public sale.?
they alluded to it at the photo shows this winter…..and if it is for real, i may wait and see before taking the plunge on the 39mp hasselblad for fine art shooting. i print some photos as large as 20X30. I don’t know if it is just the male in me wanting a faster car or worth the bucks. some pros say ye and some no. i have a gorgeous 20×30 of the disney center in la at sunset in my brkfst room from my d-70 days!!!!
The 35mm 24.8 MegaPixel chip is due to go into production this year – how long it’ll take before they start appearing in DSLRs is anybody’s guess. I gather Sony are expecting their DSLR to be out in ’08 too, but I suspect that’s wishful thinking.

Camera Anti-Twist Plate for Hasselblad $10 Mount between camera and Stroboframe bracket camera platform to prevent camera from twisting.Cameras mounted to flash brackets of any brand, including ours tend to twist or rotate on the camera mounting screw. Cork or rubber friction pads help, but the real solution is to use a camera-specific Anti-Twist (AT) Plate. They act as an interface between the camera and bracket, pin-register to the bracket and conform to the camera’s baseplate. This locks the camera to the bracket to prevent twisting. Because there are so many camera configurations, AT Plates are sold separately.
