professional camcorders for beginners
What is a good professional camcorder for a beginner?
Im always making videos.. i use my regular camcorder but im looking for a professional one.. this will be my first pro one so any suggestions would help?
You *could* step into it. We don’t know what you are using now, so we are at a bit of a disadvantage. There are “prosumer” camcorders like the standard definition Canon GL2 and Sony DCR-VX2100 and in high definition, there is the Sony HDR-FX1000. The biggest obvious difference is Prosumer cams use a 1/8″ stereo mic jack instead of the pro-grade XLR connectors… You can use an XLR adapter like those from juicedLink or BeachTek if you use XLR-based mics.
Or you can take the leap and get to the Sony HVR-V1U or Canon XHA1 in relatively short order.
