Why do we need to all that the optical zoom, up to 30 or 35X? Look, the best prosumer (professional + Camcorders general public) as Canon XL only have to 20X, but a remarkable camera that Panasonic AG DVX100 or .. B has only 10X. The optical zoom more than that is a marketing ploy. Cree, no zoom is necessary both to make a good video. Determine video quality: the story (which should be interesting) the camera (basic rules) and sound (recorded with the microphone not only video cameras).
