How can I identify the type of model for Cruise-O-Matic transmission?
I have a 1964 Ford Galaxie 500 that I am parting Out. Someone asked a question about what kind of model of Cruise-o-matic is the transmission. How do I know looking at the car? Thank you! Terri
The simplest is the transmission of the PAN and the number of bolts holding the pan. I am sure that the Galaxy 64 Auto comes with Cruise-O-Matic Three-speed transmission Automatic. There are 3 sizes CruisOmatics. Small, large, medium. Small is used behind engines up to 390 CI. average IQ of 390. Broadband is 410-430. So if your galaxy has a 289 or 352, you must have the light version and whether the engine 390, must be a way. The Great were used in Lincoln.
