longest recording camcorder
A camcorder that will record for 8 hours?
Is there an affordable camcorder that will record for longer periods of time? If so what kind? I don’t know anything about the different types of camcorders…..Would one that recorded on a dvd or vhs tape record longer? My husband and I have been noticing suspicious things around our house and we thought we would hide a camcorder to see what was going on. We figured a camcorder would be cheaper and easier to operate than security cameras plus we could also use it on trips and at get togethers and stuff….Thanks for your help!!
the least expensive would be an ordinary VHS that takes full size tape running in the EP or SLP mode. That will run 8 hours with extra length tape, or 6 hours with regular tape. Get one used from eBay or local shop. You will also need the AC adaptor because the batteries are not designed to run that long.
Not a good choice for home movies, big size and poor image and nearly obsolete, not for something you intend to replay in 10 years. A better choice for this is miniDV.
