What to use to restore clean and shine old metal camera bodies?
I have a contax IIIa, kiev 4, fed 3b and cambinox spy binoculars. What is BEST to use on the metal body parts and the metal lens casings to clean and shine?. What about the serrated ridges around the metal lens casings that trap alot of grime? I want something that is strong enough to help restore metal that has become dull or tarnished or has hard to remove marks or grime.

novice–just guessing but is there a metal treatment you can buy?
Or try that kind of car wax that ‘fills in’ microscopic cracks in your car’s paint. the tiny particals are small enuf that they should fill in between the metal scratches too i’d think.
