Can you transfer video from a vhs to your pc with a JVC GR-D370U Camcorder?!?!?!?
I’ve heard that you can do it with JVC camcorders as long as they have RCA cords. Is this true?
Just because a camcorder comes with RCA connectors does not mean it can do AV-in or AV passthrough.

Refer to the section on “Editing”, page 39. The camcorder can send AV out using the RCA analog/composite connectors. It can do AV-in ONLY by using a firewire cable. If this camcorder could do AV-in through the RCA jacks, there would be a section with instructions to do that… Also note that on the Port layout for the camera, the AV port is referred to only as AV Out.

Page 12, “LCD indicators”, refers to the “AV/S-Video Input” (#6).
Page 36, “Connectors AV Input, Output” has a Video Input entry.
Most entry level camcorders don’t do AV-in… you need to search for it and verify it can do it by reading through the manual – preferably before you buy the camcorder. Sony, Panasonic, JVC, Canon and most other camcorder manufacturers post the manuals at their web sites – in the case of Sony, Panasonic and JVC, go to the Support area and locate the “Downloads” area. In Canon’s case, go to the camcorder’s product page and click on Downloads…
