hd camcorder hard drive reviews
Xmas Hi Def camcorder:what do you recommend? Sony HDR SR8/7 vs Panansonic HDC-SD1/SD5?
I am more consumer than pro so don’t really want to spend more than I need to. I have a tired 7 yr old Canon Mv300 but with the HD Panasonic Viera tv want something for family video and all that. I understand the case for Hard drives but not sure I need more than 60GB (Sony SR7) but then despite the reviews on cnunet and trustedreviews I picked up the Panasonic SD1 in Comet today and it felt good in my hand! Also, it seems there may be a future in going the memory card route and Panasonic seemed easier to use play and edit than a lot of the proprietary Sony stuff. Bottom line do I spend £650 for the Panasonic and a memory card route or £750/£950 for heavier bulkier Sony?
Sony is one of the most quality companites on the planet.
Choosing Sony, even with the sometimes harsh pricetag, is the best thing you can do.
Remember, you get what you pay for. If you want something nice, you have to spend a little extra.
