I am looking to buy Canon DC311 DVD Camcorder from argos and it says its 54,000 pixels How many megapixels is this ?

According to the specs on Canon’s website, it has 540,000pixels for video and 530,000pixels for still images. That means that still images taken would be 0.5 mega pixels
