How do I convert my DV camcorder tapes to DVDs?
I have an old Canon 450i camcorder but have lost the software it came with. The shops are trying to charge me £25 per tape, so I figure it is worth doing it myself. But how?
I would suggest you get yourself a proffesional mini DV (if thats the kind you are using)/DVD/HDV recorder. I had one in school. It was very simple to use to transfer footage from a mini DV to DVDs. It was also possible to transfer footage and leave on the hardrive (HDV). Im not sure what model it was or who makes it but you can search it at online stores. It might cost you a bit but I think It’ll be worth it. That way you can do it yourself and not have to depend on anyone. And it’s something that lasts a while so you dont have to pay everytiome you want to convert something.
