does any tripod work?
i have a canon digital rebel xsi and i’m looking for a tripod. are all screw sizes the same? i want to buy this one; Dolica AX620B100 62-Inch Proline. but I’m not sure if there’s a universal size though.

The 1/4″ tripod thread on modern photo equipment is standardized. The exception is the larger mount used on large format cameras and some types of industrial video and movie cameras.
The other exceptions are vintage camera equipment, made back in the day when manufacturers each had their own standard.
