digital camera no delay

I am looking to upgrade my digital camera. Advice on which models do not have a time delay please?

I have a Fuji finepix, 5 mill mp, and it takes great photos but would like something with less of a time delay between pressing the button and taking the picture. Still want the great clarity and a decent zoom and if possible a snazzy small shape to. Any advice would be very appreciated. Thanks

Canon Ixus are good compact little beasties, no idea about the shutter delay but in general you’ll be looking at a very expensive digital SLR for that kind of speed.

Film SLR’s have no delay and are the reason why I have gone back to them for anything more than point and shoot.
