I have a bow in a soft leather case pouch. Can I take that in a Southwest airline as checked baggage? or me?

That would be fine in your checked baggage. There are no requirements for documentation that I am aware of the arches. If you are in another bag, not most would tell the ticket agent when checking the bag, but is not subject to the types of requirements which is a firearm. If you are carrying the arrows, then just need to be packaged so that no one can cut or injured by the spikes.
