Will Canon accessories work with my Sony Handycam?
I want to buy a shotgun microphone on the Canon brand, but I'm not sure if it will work with my Sony DVD Handycam. We say a Sony DVD Handycam camcorder. The model number is located on the label on the bottom of the camera near the mounting screw hole the tripod. As far as I know that none of them has a microphone jack, and only some of them are Sony's proprietary "Active Interface Shoe." The Canon Micro join us who can only work on Canon's advanced accessory shoe. AIS Sony is smaller and there is no converter "to connect the pins. It is best to go to Sony.com, comcorder your login page "book" and show that the AIS is comptible Sony microphones with your camcorder from Sony … or visit the manual – usually the back of the manual has a list of accessories compatible with your camcorder.
