If you are worried that buying a camera used is not a good thing to do for you in particular with a private provider. At least one dealer who offers a guarantee that everything went well beyond any manufacturers warranty that may or may not cover all problems, especially if damage to the victims. The only way to fund may prove a digital camera to take pictures with it in different contexts and outcomes are close to your computer. You can ask as many questions as you wish, but it will only work if the seller is totally honest, that concern has but grief.
