With some very recognized and well publicized contemporaries around, it's easy for the Canon SD770 IS to go unnoticed. With the exciting new interface design and ultra modern technology of the SD770 IS is considered in the value of the "best" list.
The SD770 IS but has the potential to be an example of what Canon is known for its mid-level models, which is building a relatively simple point and shoot that are based on a collection of proven components and technologies.
Although not a global star with a series of jaw drop features hidden under its surface, which has no nasty surprises hidden under its coverage to distract you. It is simply a point of ultra compact point and shoot camera with a 3x zoom and a CCD imager of 10.0 megapixels.
Functionally, camera is based on Canon's heritage of making low-cost, lower-specification models SD 700 series. Style-wise this camera is a retro-Classis return to the "safe and circle "look of the chambers of the mid-nineties. Its appearance also reflects its lineage ELPH that became the Digital ELPH around 2000 and has become an integral part of the Power Shot SD range, which has continued to include Canon's latest technology Ultra compact in its flagships.
The key factor the SD770 however, is his return to much of what the original ELPH was: a simple, pocket camera model, built with quality basic idea capture Snapshot in mind. The inner workings of the modern ultra reveal SD770's DIGIC III processor, optical image stabilization, and how abundant resolution – The technological backbone around which to construct this compact.
Although the SD770 offers some of the major features of soft-end models 'most striking [tools face detection in reproduction, for example] the benefits of improved processing – such as increasing the speed by everywhere, and face tracking technology clever Canon are there at the mill.
At its most basic SD770 IS offers the following features and the playback menu is refreshingly simple compared to some of its competitors:
Auto: The fully automatic shooting mode of a very small number of user controls.
Manual: The automatic program settings with white balance, sensitivity, focus modes, etc.
Scene: A total of 11 preset shooting situation [and Color Swap, Color Accent, and Digital Macro modes] are available.
Movie: The SD770 supports basic functions Video recording up to 640×480, 30 fps.
With a shape of a square, a comfortable and familiar control panel arrangement, and the SD-signature bezel important objective, the SD770 joins the SD1100 as by far the most "ELPH as" SD Canon's current range, with a sense of solid construction. The rectangular shape of the chamber combined with a slightly sculpted dense and thick feeling in general that suggests real quality.
