Connecting Panasonic Camcorder to Apple Mac?

I have a Panasonic NV-GS400 that I wish to use with my Apple Mac. As it does not have a firewire port, can anyone suggest how I can get my mini-DV tape recordings onto my Mac please?

im guessing this is one of the first released aluminum macbooks as they dont have firewire and to get you recording on there you could do either of 3 ways the first is quite easy but you will need another computer with firewire just put it on there then transfer it through usb disk or other portable storage options the second is to buy a usb to firewire converter these can be hard to find though you will be able to use it as a firewire port but you wont get the speed of a usual firewire port the next is to buy a mini dv tape reader with a usb connection but these can be even harder to find and more expensive
