Can an AV port on a supported audio input from a camcorder external microphone?
I'm not familiar with cameras and its terminology and capabilities, but I just want to find from the AV port on my camcorder support its entry. I bought a whole in an external microphone back and was dismissed because it seems to work. Now, I wondered if maybe I was using the AV port is simply not compatible with audio input. Help, anyone? My camcorder is a Canon ZR830 Mini-DV. Thank you!
No. The camera should have microphone input. The AV port on the camera is the output, not input.
