Here is a little known secret:
What most of us know, is that the "kill switch" is the battery drain is like a "switch" ON ". The problem is we all leave the kill switch 'on' even when the bike is not running and is draining the batteries. What nobody told us we have to turn it off every time we leave our scooters. We all assume that if our right scooter starts again, the battery must be fully charged, but that simply is not true. So the secret is to turn the switch off every time you turn off the bike and remove key.
The other big secret is that nobody told us that the scooters are not like cars. Scooters do not recharge the batteries on their own. When our car is dead, we give each other a jump. We left it running for 20 minutes and recharges the battery – all is well. What they all have assumed is that scooters are in the same way, but they are not. If we average battery remains half charged for 3 months, then it just dies one day. So we are all against the repair shop to buy Scooter our 2nd or 3rd battery for the year. It's frustrating, no?
Want the solution? It's easy, just turn off the kill switch. Thus simply say to yourself when you stop your bike, we must do two things, not one. We have to take the key and turn off the kill switch. That will turn off the battery and allow slow drainage that continues to haunt us all.
