How do I convert analog to digital cheaply?
Hey guys, I’m having a problem with my camcorder.
I have a Samsung SCL901 8mm camcorder, it has no USB or Firewire and it records with tapes. I need to transfer the video on my camcorder to my PC, but the only way I know how to do that is to buy an analog-to-digital converter. And the ones I have found online are like $70 and I’m looking to spend $20-$30. Also, it would be nice if I could go to a store and get one and not have to buy it online. So, if anyone knows where I could a CHEAP analog-to-digital converter (or anything that would help me in this situation) please let me know.

I do not know the exact name of this little wizard –BUT — it can be found in the computer accessories department (locally it is shelved with the webcam selections) and it runs approximately 56—58 dollars (us) !! It is _____something like “Direct x ” or something similar — and has standard analog in (with stereo sound RCA) and USB out !!!
